34 Weeks & a Sneak Peak of the Nursery!

This week has been my spring break so as you can imagine I decided to do WAY too many projects/crafts this week. Although, I've been moving and grooving through them with the help of my wonderful hubbie and sweet family! They have been keeping me motivated and sure helping out a lot. All I want is for it to be done so I can cross it off my list. After the nursery I will be doing a slight redecorating/reorganizing to our guest bedroom/craft room which Brian is painting and fixing up right now. I also have old furniture that I can't WAIT to get rid of. Most of you that know me know that I love to keep things super clean, organized and I am slightly obsessed with getting rid of things! I just love the feeling of cleaning out things and getting rid of things we don't need or use! My husband would disagree with this, we somehow have opposite opinions on this!  ha! Love ya babe! After I get that guest room done, who knows what I will do after that probably the guest/baby's bathroom and then loft area. Yes I'm crazy. I'm gonna keep on going until this baby gets here! It helps the time pass and I've gotta be constantly doing something.

Are you ready? Now keep in mind the nursery is no where near done I've got to do lots of little things. But I am just so excited that is coming along finally! YAY! Remember one of my last posts, it had all of our inspiration on there. Well I slightly changed somethings for the best!

Changing Table Wall

Love this frame, old drawers, jars, some first Friday finds and something that belonged to my great grandma Jean!

Crib Skirt

Ruffle Curtains. Without the help of my mom and sister I would still be working on these darn things. I hate them, I hate everything about them. BUT I LOVE how they turned out. SOO cute. Next time I will pay the price and just buy them even though I saved almost $60 by making them my own.

Lamp shades, not finished yet but will be today hopefully!

Made this coat/towel rack. We used an old vintage window from Brian's old house. Some of you may notice it from our wedding too. I bought the cute knobs at Hobby Lobby at 50%. Then I added these vintage skeleton keys that were from my Great Grandmothers house! Turned out great!

This banner I will be adding some stuff too. I was going to make a new one but I found this banner my sister made for our wedding! I reused it! One less thing to make!

On to baby bump pictures week 34:

How far along: Finishing week 34!
Total weight gain: 25 pounds
Maternity clothes: Work pants and jeans. The bigger I get the harder it's getting to stretch my shirts, lol! I am having a harder time going shopping and not being able to buy adorable spring dresses, swimsuits, cover ups, etc. UGH! I can't wait to be a normal size so I can get my Summer shopping on!
Stretch marks: I'm getting a few little red lines here and there.
Sleep: It's been okay. I still wake up around 2:30 or 4:00. My allergies have been bad so Benadryl has helped with that and helped knock me out!
Best moment: Our Baby showers last week, working on the nursery with Brian!
Miss anything: My brain! I miss sleeping awesome! I miss dancing full out. I did a clinic this week and couldn't dance full out which was frustrating. I'm ready to be able to move again! I also miss my ribs not hurting! I miss not being able to get off the couch without a push from my husband! ha! I'm so not complaining by any means, just miss the little things. However, it's totally WORTH it!
Movement: tons and she is getting quite cramped in there!
Food cravings: Ice!
Queasy or sick: nope
Showing: Oh yes!
Gender: Girl
Labor signs: Braxton Hicks
Belly button: Is in. Finally took my belly button ring out. Guess I'm growing up or something?
Wedding rings: On
Mood: Exhausted but happy!
Looking forward to: finishing the nursery and for this little girl to arrive healthy!!!

Maternity Pics

We have been working hard on the nursery and the house. Stay tuned for inspiration photos and some photos of projects I will be doing for the nursery!

I have a quick photo of a project I finished two weeks ago. It's a Menu board for our kitchen. We seem to do better when we are organized and plan our meals out! Not to mention Brian loves dry erase boards and wanted me to somehow incorporate one into our everyday life. So I did a dry erase Menu Board. My hubbie hung it in our kitchen today. Yipppee! First, I will show you my inspiration:

Here is mine that I created. It cost me under $5.00. The door my wonderful mommy found in the trash some where. I got the scrapbook paper and letters to put on it. The cute vintage teal knob my mom got at Hobby Lobby awhile ago. Tada!
The glare on the window is not allowing me to show how CUTE this Menu really turned out, but hey you get the idea!

Lately I have been under the weather. I have been battling this horrible cold for over a week and a half. This has literally kicked my butt. I have ZERO energy and it really stinks cause all I want to do is lay on the couch. The last thing I wanna do is chase around my whack-a-do 3rd graders!  I finally took a day off Friday and went to the dr. This head cold turned into a horrible ear infection, my luck! So the dr did give me medicine thank GOODNESS and it's slowly working. I did a little more today as far as running errands but I'm perfect content with relaxing on the couch.

Here are our Maternity Pics that we had my friend Amy take at The Rye Studio! We got in for one of her mini sessions and turned it into maternity pics! We love them, they turned out great. Very simple, yet creative and capture the moment. We didn't want anything over the top and we didn't want a million pics of me pregnant. Just enough to capture the moment for our little miss! They turned out great. Here they are!

How far along: 32 weeks
Total weight gain: 23 pounds
Maternity clothes: Work pants and jeans. The bigger I get the harder it's getting to stretch my shirts, lol! I am having a harder time going shopping and not being able to buy adorable spring dresses, swimsuits, cover ups, etc. UGH! I can't wait to be a normal size so I can get my Summer shopping on!
Stretch marks: I'm getting a few little red lines here and there.
Sleep: Not so great since I've been sick. I am seeming to wake up every single night at 2:30 and cannot go back to sleep. It's not because I'm uncomfortable from being pregnant. For some reason I wake up at the same time and cannot go back to sleep! I miss my uninterrupted sleep nights. Guess I'm gearing up for parenthood, yippee!
Best moment: Getting the nursing/rocking chair, crib, changing dresser and dresser up in the nursery! All furniture is set! YAY!
Miss anything: Sleep
Movement: Lots
Food cravings: apples, peanut butter, pineapple, sharp cheddar cheese and salads still. I started loving ICE and captain crunch cereal!
Queasy or sick: nope
Showing: Oh yes!
Gender: Girl
Labor signs: just Braxton Hicks
Belly button: Is in. Finally took my belly button ring out. Guess I'm growing up or something?
Wedding rings: On
Mood: Exhausted but happy!
Looking forward to: Getting the KS Reading Assessment over with this week with my 3rd graders. Also our after school Boost Program is OVER which means I get to leave work everyday at 3:30. AAHHHHMAZING! Also, excited to start on some nursery projects this week like the curtains!

Christmas Crafts!

I forgot to take pictures of ALL the lovely things Brian and I made for our family members this year! One thing, we need to get is a picture of this huge frame thing we made his mom! Hope to get a picture of it soon to show all of you!

Here are some of the little things we got pictures of! We had lots of fun being crafty this past Christmas.

Yummie Oreo Truffles I made for all my Teacher Friends

Here are the Truffles all packaged up and ready to give/eat

Coasters I made out of tiles, scrapbook paper and modge podge. Here is one set. I made a total of 4 different sets.

Scarves made out of soft cozy jersey material with lace. I made a green one and black one.

Just trying it on to see if it looks good. Ignore my no makeup and pj's!

These next are my favorite. They are pictures frames. Made out of wood, knobs and rosettes/buttons. They really turned out adorable. We gave a lot of these to family and included our family pictures from our wedding, so fun!
Gray/Silver with cream buttons

Navy with black polka dot rosette

Light Brown with gray, cream and black rosette

Here is what it looked like with a picture attached!

That's it for now. Stay tuned for our new deep teal kitchen cabinet/pantry piece that is finished and ready for a sneak peak! It looks great. I'm just trying to figure out what fun decor to put on top of the cabinet and what to place on the wall next to the cabinet.
